Anesthesia Services for Body Art
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Sedation Lounge is a collaboration of professionals that come together to bring the highest quality of tattoos and anesthesia services. Our project management team has 10+ years of experience in consultations, knowledge of styles, scheduling, and more. We make sure everyone is on the same page at the same time.
Our artists travel from different locations in the US and unite in the same room to deliver high quality tattoos. Setting up an event like this can be complicated, but we take care of the process from beginning to end as a facilitator for everyone involved, to include the clients, the artists, and the medical team. With our help we can bring your vision to life.
SCHEDULING
We know the complications of scheduling multiple artists at the same time and organizing a project with different people being involved. Sedation Lounge makes sure both the client and the artist are being heard. After all, it is a collaboration between your ideas and the knowledge our artists bring.
Once we receive your booking form, we schedule a call to get all the information needed for the project and answer any questions. Then we will work on a selection of the best possible lead artists that can produce what you are looking to do. With the help of the selected lead artist and main point of contact, we will create a team to work together on the project.
At this point the client will need to speak to one of our nurse anesthesiologists to go over their medical history, the pre-operative and post-operative instructions, and what to expect from our anesthesia team the day of the session. This ensures that the client will be as safe as possible through their sedation and tattoo session.
The first meeting of the minds is through a video call with our project manager and lead artist. We discuss your vision, how it can be created, the number of artists required, and how many hours will be needed.
Once the team is created and the client give us an approval, we go ahead and start looking for possible dates that everyone can be present and the scheduling begins.
Sedation Lounge takes care of all travel expenses for each artist, facilitating the scheduling, and the possibility of great collaborations. It is our way to secure the presence of all artists involved.
MANAGEMENT AND ANESTHESIA FEES
Sedation Lounge works with different artists that do different styles. Some styles and placements need more time than others. Since our clients get to choose the artists for the project, we won’t be able to know the full cost until the team is chosen. We have artists that charge $3k per session, and others that charge $10k.
The amount of hours, the artist needed, and the artist selection will influence the final cost. However, we have created 2 types of sessions to streamline the process. Our starting cost for an 8h session with project management and anesthesia is $21k. For projects that need more than 8 hours we offer back-to-back sessions of 6 hours each day for a total of 12 hours. The starting cost for a back-to-back session with project management and anesthesia is $29k.
This cost will be adjusted depending on the project, number of artists, and artist selection. Once the team is formed, a final quote will be provided.
PROCESS
Before the event, we schedule a second meeting of the minds to present what the artist has developed and get final thoughts. During the organization process, our project manager plays a huge role in making sure the client’s ideas are being recreated in the best way possible.
The night before of the appointment we meet at Sedation Lounge with everyone involved to prepare for the session. In this meeting we present the design, the artists discuss the plan, and start setting up. Our medical team does the final documentation for the procedure and make sure clients follow the pre-operative instructions.
The next morning, we start with the stencil application like a traditional tattoo session. Then we move forward with the nurse anesthesiologist doing one final check before starting the intravenous catheter and proceeding with the sedation process. During the sedation, our medical team works hard to ensure the safety of our customers. Our commitment is to our clients, making sure they leave the same way they arrived but with a beautiful tattoo.
After the procedure is done and the tattoo is finished, our medical team works on waking the client up and the artists prep for the healing process. Once the client is awake and meets discharge criteria, they are discharged from our care and sent with a trusted person to take them back to their hotel and follow the post-procedure instructions.
Our commitment to our client doesn’t end there. Sedation Lounge does follow up calls to make sure everything is good and to hear thoughts on the tattoo and the process. We love hearing the satisfaction of our clients and all the funny stories that happened in the waking up process.
