If I had to sum up my experience with Dr. Dwayne, Dr. Rudy, and Gian in one word, I’d use the world family, honestly. Even though I had never met Gian or Zai, that’s exactly how I was treated from the get go. It immediately felt like they gave a damn about me and my tattoo and my experience. The very same goes for Dr. Dwayne and Dr. Rudy. Although I’ve had the pleasure of working with them professionally I’d never been their patient. I’ve seen their work, their commitment, the standard they hold themselves to, but experiencing it was a total different ball game. I wasn’t “just their patient.” I felt like family.

My most memorable experience actually wasn’t when I was the patient. It was watching Gian, Dr. Dwayne, and Dr. Rudy treat my husband. Although still in super drunk buddy mode, he woke up making a valiant attempt to piece his slurred speech together. The 3 of them treated Jon with the most kind, respectable, genuine giggles. He was listened to, communicated with, cared about, and validated in whatever his drunk little mind was thinking.  He has no memory of the 4 of them sitting there while he recovered. But it’s etched in my mind because the kindness they showed toward him meant the world to me. Family. We immediately felt like family. I would recommend this experience to anyone.
